The Cutler Orosi Joint Unified School District (COJUSD) notifies the community of its intent to apply to the California Department of Education funding for two programs that support academic enrichment during non-school hours: the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) Elementary and Middle School Program, and the 21st Century After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens program (ASSETs).
The 21st Century CCLC program helps students meet state and local academic standards in core subjects, such as reading and math, offers students a broad array of enrichment activities that can complement the regular academic program, and offers educational. The 21st Century ASSETs program provides the implementation of academic enrichment opportunities and activities designed to complement students' regular academic program and that support college and career readiness, assist with literacy and related educational development services for families of these students, and provide a safe environment for students.
If awarded funding, COJUSD will disseminate information about the 21st Century Community Learning Centers (CCLC) and the 21st Century After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens program (ASSETs). in a manner that clearly states our goals with information posted on our website and announced through local resources. We invite comments and partnerships as we work to improve the services offered to our students through quality expanded learning programs.
