Cutler School Students, Parents, Staff, and Community!

I am so pleased to be returning for the 2023-24 School as the principal of Cutler Elementary School!  It is so gratifying to be a principal in my home town community.  I attended all the district schools as a child and worked as a teacher at both Golden Valley and Cutler.  To know be able to lead our incredible school forward is truly an honor.  Our mission this year is to ROAR with HEART.  We are Raising Our Achievement Radically by focusing on being Hardworking, Empathetic, Accountable, Respectful and Trustworthy.  Our mission this year is ensuring ALL students feel connected in efforts to support them in becoming college bound wildcats.  Our teachers have been charged with nurturing students as we maintain a data driven focus on affecting every child on their path to academic success.

The year begins with many exciting changes.  All students in 2nd - 5th grade will be dismissed at 3:00pm.  This change ensures our 2nd - 5th grade students receive VAPA, Music, STEAM, PE and/or band throughout the year.  Our students in TK-1st grade continue dismissing at 2:20 pm.   We also have many changes to staff assignments in our regular and Dual Immersion (DI) programs. The following staff are either new or have a change in their teaching assignment:  Yesbeth Herrera – TK, Maria Castro – TK DI, Carmen Hernandez– K DI Spanish, Raquel Barragan-1st,  Alma Ceja-1st DI English, Vennisa Guadiana- 2nd,  Nancy Gonzalez- 2nd DI English, Lucilo Diaz- 3rd, Orilia Alvarado-3rd DI Spanish,  Christina Quintana-4th, Miriam Hernandez- 4th DI Spanish, Julio Zapien-4th DI English, Megan Thiessen 5th DI English, Rosie Ventura- 5th DI Spanish & Audelina Madrid-VAPA.  We also welcome new coaches Lisa Jasso 3-5th grade & Leslie Duarte Dl.  We are so excited to welcome our new teammates.
We look forward to a strong collaboration with parents in our endeavor to achieve Radically this year.  We encourage you to become active in our parent committees such as School Site Council (SSC) and English Learners Advisory Committee (ELAC). There are many opportunities to volunteer during the year with ongoing events.  Parents, please ensure you receive messages from Parent Square in order to stay connected. If you need support accessing messages, please stop by our office. Finally, please make sure to join your child’s ClassDojo/Seesaw and follow our Cutler Elementary School Facebook page.

Finally, please ensure you have logged on to Parent Portal to update your student’s information. If you still need access information, please stop by the office to pick up instructions and access information. It is extremely important that we have updated emergency contact information for your child. If you have any questions or need help, please call us at 559-528-6931. We are here to serve!
